PXE International recently held a sponsored gathering of some of the most prominent PXE scientists in the world. Over the course of the two-day meeting, the large group presented their collective progress to date and their ongoing research efforts in the understanding of PXE, related scientific areas, and activities toward the development of a treatment.

The update will highlight the following:

• the types of excellent research in which these scientists are engaging
• the progress in our understanding of PXE
• the phenomenal collaborations between the various researchers
• clinical and molecular diagnostic consensus panel
• advances toward treatments and clinical patient studies
