Diane Baker, CGC
Diane Baker is a genetic counselor by training and spent 25 years at the University of Michigan in the department of Human Genetics. She provided direct care in pediatric genetics, administered the state’s newborn screening program, coordinated genetic field clinics in Northern Michigan and oversaw a summer science program for teachers and middle school students. She eventually went kicking and screaming into full-time administration, directing a graduate program in genetic counseling and coedited the first textbook in genetic counseling. For the past decade Diane has been volunteering in the DC area, serving on the boards of several health-related non-profits.
Diane is a long-time supporter of PXE International and has helped out behind the scenes at previous PXE conferences.
